Do you have an hourly rate for weddings?

Nope. We don't charge by the hour and we'll never leave early. We think it's tacky to leave before the party is over. All we ask is that we make a plan before the day of the wedding so that we're all on the same page.

Will you bring a second photographer to my wedding?

Yes. We work regularly with a network of second-shooters and videographers from all across the country, all of whom are professional photographers and documentarians.

What if I don't want a second shooter at my wedding?

We highly encourage you to have two photographers at your wedding. Think of it as photo insurance... if one shooter breaks their leg (at least it wasn't their camera, right?), there will be someone else there to cover. It's also difficult for one set of eyes to see everything that happens at an event like a wedding. However, if you truly feel that you don't need/want a second shooter, we're willing to discuss whether or not one shooter would suffice.

Can I see a sample Contract?

Of course... send us a message and we'll happily get you a sample.

Will I have the Rights to the images?

We always give you medium-resolution files (1500px), and you're welcome to use these for personal, non-commercial purposes. This means you can print, share, upload, duplicate these files as you wish as long as you're not selling them or using them to sell something else.

What does "organic Exposure" mean?

We're glad you asked! Check out this blog post for an in-depth answer. In short, the term "organic" refers to our belief that stories should be saved in their most natural state, unimpeded and unaltered by the storyteller. We are story-understanders as much as we are storytellers. We want you to feel like your story is told accurately, sensitively, and genuinely. Essentially, we're in the business of saving stories, not manufacturing them.

How long will it take to get my photos?

We do our absolute best to get you your photos as quickly as possible. We also want to make sure that what we give you is top-notch. It takes about 4-6 weeks for us to edit and process a full wedding's worth of photos. A portrait session will take about 2 weeks of editing/processing.

Will you travel for my wedding?

Of course! We're based in Raleigh, North Carolina, but we're happy to explore new places. When the situation warrants it, we'll simply add modest travel/accommodation amounts to the final cost.

HOw many photos will I get from my wedding?

Every wedding is different, but you'll probably get around 400-1000 edited and processed photos from your wedding. This is mainly dependent on how long your event lasts.

Do you have liability Insurance?

What is your policy on taking breaks?

Breaks are boring! But the natural cadence of a wedding usually allows time for our photographers to break/refuel without photo opportunities being missed. We always bring our own snacks/drinks, but we appreciate your kindness if you choose to offer us a meal.

Do you have experience shooting in different lighting situations?

Every day and situation brings a new lighting challenge. Our photographers have professional photojournalism experience beyond just weddings. We believe that versatility is non-negotiable whether we're shooting for the a national newspaper or at a wedding. We're equipped and experienced enough to handle any environment.

How about Same-sex weddings?

EVERY relationship is valuable and worth celebrating. We feel honored when anyone chooses to share their most important moments with us.
